42nd Annual San Diego MLK Parade
Join us on Harbor Drive for the 41st Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade! This is one of the largest celebrations of its kind in the United States in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.. The parade is filled with dazzling floats, phenomenal High School Bands, Drill Teams, Colleges / Universities, Fraternities, Sororities, Churches, Peace and Youth organizations.
Holiday Scholarship Ball
Celebrate San Diego's Legacy of Black Excellence! Please join us for dinner, dancing, and fellowship at this black tie affair. In partnership with the San Diego Alpha Foundation, the Zeta Sigma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc hosts this annual holiday ball to support its educational programs and college scholarships for San Diego students.

79th Assembly District Annual Backpack Giveaway
Assembly member Akila Weber is hosting the annual backpack giveaway on Saturday, August 13th from 10am-1pm. In addition to backpacks being filled supplies and sanitation-kits to prepare for the school year, there will also be a free vaccination clinic, free bike helmet fittings and helmets, and much more!
North County NAACP Back School Supplies Rally
Each year, the North San Diego County NAACP and its partners raise funds to purchase backpacks and school supplies for school-aged students in North San Diego County and present them at a fun-filled free give-a-way event.
Veterans Stand Down 2022
Veterans Village of San Diego (VVSD) will host its 34th annual Stand Down at Roosevelt Middle School on July 30th offering immediate intervention support to at-risk and homeless veterans. The Veterans Stand Down event was founded by Bro. John Smith, a Vietnam Veteran and longtime leader in San Diego's military community.
